We're on a mission to create comfortable, sustainable homes for all.

At Underheat, we’re building smarter, faster ways to decarbonise UK homes — starting with social housing.

We use AI to design and manufacture more efficient heating systems for heat pumps, reducing the cost and disruption of retrofit upgrades.

We believe the transition to a low carbon future should benefit everyone—improving the comfort, health and happiness of those who need it most.

Our story

"Necessity is the mother of invention" and right now there is an acute need to improve UK heat pump COP in an affordable and scalable manner.

We are a diverse team led by an idea to 'do things better'. Low temperature heat emitters play a crucial role in heat pump and building performance but nobody was exploring how software could be used improve physical products and change methodologies. In 2023 we recognised this and began researching, designing and installing our first concepts.

When we are not busy talking about how great heat pumps can be, we are baking bread, mountain biking and chilling on narrowboats.
